The results of Port State Control (PSC) inspections are often used by many interested parties for benchmarking and analysis of the performance of individual ships and fleets.
During 2015 ships under the management of Zodiac Maritime Ltd. had 256 PSC inspections in 48 different countries. The majority of these (197) were in ports that are in the 4 Regions as described below.
As a benchmarking exercise we have produced a summary of the last 3 years inspection results (1 Jan 2013 - 31 Dec 2015) for the 3 largest MOUs (Memorandums of Understanding) and the USCG (United States Coast Guard) as described in the table below.
Inspections 01/01/13 - 31/12/15
|PSC Authority||Inspections||Observations Reported||Ave Obs/Insp||% of Inspections with Obs||% of Inspections that Resulted in Detention|
|Vina del Mar MOU||90||45||0.50||28.89||0.00|
Note: PSC inspections in Canada are recorded in both the Paris and Tokyo MOUs. A PSC detention during 2015 in Canada has been included in both the Paris MOU and Tokyo MOU figures.
As of 31 December 2016 the Zodiac managed fleet was rated as "High Performing"" under the Paris MOU New Inspection Regime.
As of 31 December 2016 the Zodiac managed fleet was rated as "Medium Performing" under the Tokyo MOU Inspection Regime.
Zodiac Maritime will publish the results of our PSC performance on our web site on an annual basis. We will benchmark this performance against other published data where it is available.
