Zodiac Maritime Continues to be Recognised for Shipping Efficiency

UK headquartered Zodiac Maritime is proud to announce that its managed vessel, M/V Hyundai Mars, has been awarded a prestigious efficiency award from the global integrated logistics and shipping company, HMM.
As part of a diversified fleet, Zodiac Maritime manages more than thirty container vessels, of which six are on long-term charter to HMM. This accolade marks the latest achievement for Zodiac Maritime, whose vessels have been recognised seven times for efficient operations since HMM began its energy efficiency award program in 2022.
In recognition of its accomplishment, a winning vessel receives funds that the crew can collectively spend on items that support crew welfare on board. Items purchased by Zodiac Maritime crews include gym equipment, coffee machines, games consoles and games.

The evaluation process that assesses the energy efficiency of the ships in the HMM fleet is based on HMM’s Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) ratings. These ratings compare a ship’s performance against its proforma schedule; and consider factors such as fuel-saving, collaboration with planners, speed management and safety.
As well as containerships, Zodiac Maritime manages bulk carriers, crude, product, gas and chemical tankers, and car and truck carriers as part of its diverse fleet of around 200 ships.
