Minimising risks to the health and safety of our seafarers, and the security of operations and cargo
A Safe Workplace
The health and safety of our seafarers is our primary concern. We have comprehensive internal policies and apply the highest standards to protect the wellbeing of crew onboard our managed vessels, and the security of the cargo being transported on behalf of our customers and clients. This is implemented through an extensive safety management system that surpasses the standards imposed by international organisations to ensure the very best practices are observed.
We began implementing a quality management system in 1993 and adopted the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code) as early as 1996. We continue to improve across all safety management performance indicators by effectively using management systems – both voluntary standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001) and the mandatory Codes for ISM, ISPS and the Maritime Labour Convention.
Reporting using the OCIMF Marine Injury Reporting Guidelines allows us to monitor trends while consistently benchmarking safety performance against our peers in the industry to ensure we are always striving to meet the highest possible standards.
Quality management techniques are used throughout the company and our representative offices to provide a means for continual improvement. Our quality documentation is available to view below:
