A Safer Workplace

A Safer Workplace

The health and safety of seafarers on our managed vessels is extremely important to us. Aiming for a zero-accident workplace, we have established comprehensive internal policies and put high standards
in place to protect the wellbeing of crew onboard managed vessels,
as well as the security of the cargo being transported on behalf
of our customers and clients. This is implemented through an extensive safety management system that not only complies with
the relevant legislation, but sees internal policy surpass the standards imposed by international organisations to ensure the very best practices are observed.

We began implementing a quality management system in 1993 and effected the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code) as early as 1996. We continue to improve across all safety management performance indicators by effectively using management systems – both voluntary standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001) and the mandatory Codes for ISM, ISPS and the Maritime Labour Convention. Reporting using the OCIMF Marine Injury Reporting Guidelines allows us to monitor trends whilst consistently benchmarking safety performance against our peers in the industry
to strive towards the highest possible standards.
