Sustainability Through Practical Innovation

Looking to the Future

We view sustainability as a long-term responsibility — not just a regulatory requirement. Our focus is on practical, measurable actions that improve operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact across our fleet.

We are actively lowering greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by integrating advanced technologies on board and using real-time data analytics to optimise fleet performance. Our approach includes:

  • Energy-efficient propulsion systems including high-efficiency propellers, propeller boss cap fins, pre-propeller ducts, pre-swirl stators and rudder bulbs.
  • Hull and auxiliary upgrades including optimised bulbous bows, advanced anti-fouling hull coatings, and LED lighting on board.
  • Operational enhancements including upgraded autopilot systems, and Alternative Marine Power (AMP) systems that allow vessels to connect to shore power while in port.

These technologies are selected based on their proven ability to reduce fuel use and emissions.

Monitoring for Continuous Improvement

Our advanced performance monitoring systems track energy consumption and vessel efficiency in real time. This enables early identification of inefficiencies, supports timely interventions, and ensures accurate reporting for compliance and transparency.

Expanding our Dual-Fuel Capability

Since 2023, we’ve been introducing new vessels equipped with dual-fuel engines capable of operating on LNG and LPG across our fleets. These vessels emit significantly lower levels of nitrogen and sulphur oxides (NOₓ and SOₓ), contributing to cleaner operations and supporting the industry’s transition to alternative fuels.

Looking Ahead

We continue to invest in technologies that deliver real-world benefits — improving efficiency, reducing emissions, and preparing our fleet for a lower-carbon future.

At Zodiac Maritime, we’re taking steady, responsible steps toward more sustainable shipping.
