- Maintain auditor details to ensure that all data entered is current and accurate
- Assist with the formulation and preparation of documents to support the visa applications for the Auditors
- Assist with the internal company audits, within the manager's office and manning offices if required
- Plan ISO 9001, 18001, 14001 and 50001 sample audits and liaise with Lloyd's Register, agents and vessels as required
Vessel Plans & Documentation
- Collate and ensure successful delivery of all essential documentation for ISM inspection for all applicable vessels within the required timescales
- Ensure that all vessels response plans are accurate and comply with appropriate regulations. These plans include but are not limited to: the Vessel Response Plan (VRP), Non Tank Vessel Response Plan, California NTVCP other US state plans or forms as required and Pre-Fire plans
- Gather data to formulate or update applicable USA Plans
- Ensure compliance with Vessel General Permit 2013-2018, prepare, and submit eNOI to the VGP eNOI system for all applicable vessels
- Ensure that the Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan (SOPEP) and Ship Marine Pollution Emergency Plan (SMPEP) are accessible, updated and compliant with the appropriate regulations
- Monitor vessel movements to ensure the timely applications and submission of plans for new builds, purchases, and re-routing to USA/Panama
- Liaise with our USA Representatives - O'Briens, T&T Salvage and Resolve Marine as and when required for all local US Regs

With the guidance
of the Fleet IT Manager, overseeing the completion of thorough assessments of
in-scope systems, applications, and processes to establish cyber security risks
and control gaps

Driving the
application of the security risk management framework across the fleet

Proactive and open
communication with the Fleet IT Manager in the implementation of updated
cybersecurity methods and policies

Building and
maintaining the databases for the fleet
-
Installing,
testing, maintaining, and providing support for all on-board applications
-
Exercising correct
judgement in escalating vessel IT operational issues / risks
-
Building and
maintaining effective relationships with sub-suppliers and internal stakeholders
-
Ensuring that all
relevant documentation and system logs are updated and remain current in
content
More about you
Relevant experience
& competencies
- Demonstrated experience
and successful track record in vessel IT support and infrastructure delivery,
within a global shipping company (c.100 ship fleet)
- Proven expertise in working as part of
a team in delivering complex technology programmes in a
hybrid on-premise / Cloud environment which includes at least
one of the ¿big 3¿ public Cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Practical experience and advanced
working knowledge of vessel IT application management, database management,
cyber security practices, incident management, and satellite communication
equipment
- In-depth understanding of shipboard
operations. Seafaring experience would be an advantage
- Logical thinker with a strong
analytical background and good attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills
together with the ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and
judgement

interpersonal skills to facilitate and maintain strong relationships within a
multi-cultural environment

Clear, precise, and confident in verbal
and written communication to support credibility and position of
expertise. Ability to speak to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders, and prepare written reporting and presentational content

meeting deadlines. Successful track record in dealing with a broad set of
activities within a fast-paced environment, whilst managing pressure well.

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Assistant to work in our busy Technical Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the administrative
duties for a fleet of Tankers.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Scanning
all ship related documentation
- Updating
records and data bases relating to Surveys and Certificates
- Coordinating
global vessel inspections in accordance with the required timescales
- Coordinating
vessel dry docking in accordance with the required timescales
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Maritime Graduate (Engineering, Naval Architect, Ship Operations)
- Previous
office administration experience
- Intermediate
knowledge and proven ability in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated
strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent
attention to detail and the ability to identify and focus on relevant
information
- Ability
to self-motivate and to prioritise conflicting demands against short
timelines
Candidates must have the right to work and live in the UK
